Quoi de Neuf?

Salut, mes copains,

Quoi de neuf? Ca va?

Je suis tres content aujourdhui.

Finally, it is done.

The path is clear for me to move forward in my life.

The last twenty years had been hell for me. Not only was I subjected to all kinds of intimidation, and threats, everything I did was sabotaged and totally ruined. I am finally able to breathe afresh again.

So, right now I shall get back to my writing on a clean slate without any hindrances. The hackers have gone, the stalkers have been apprehended, and the wheeler-dealers are now identified and on the run. However, there is no place on the planet where they can hide.

And, as if nothing had taken place in the last twenty or so odd years, people can walk with their eyes closed as they did to the monstrosity of the situation that had befallen us. The governments, the social workers, the human rights council, and various bodies that speak up for injustices can get back to their jobs of looking out for privileged people to care & look out for. They all have a set of preferences when it comes to fighting for justice. A lot of the time, they boiled down to race, religion, or some other form of conformity to their set of rules.

For one thing, I am grateful to God that he showed me bias in the face of adversity. I have learned to fight for survival.

I have broken down, hurt and disillusioned, been ill for a long time, and even now am not fully recovered, however, my fighting breath has kept me alive to label this mission impossible for the powers that be who took care of me - SUCCESSFUL.

To the worldwide officers of the law who worked tirelessly to free me, including my country's officers of law I have nothing but praise and thanks.

For years what had happened had been under wraps and people paid off to keep quiet. The rest were not bothered by what took place in their backyard and showed utter indifference. They looked out for themselves and now they I am sure will face the same music as I did. What goes round comes round!

I must say that if I die today, I would do so with a light heart. My children and next of kin have been saved too.

Apart from the officers of law everywhere who knew the danger it posed worldwide, no one else aided me in my turbulent years of trying to stay alive.

God showed me who to trust and who not to. I still face discrimination in other ways, but I will fight till the end and live one day at a time as I always have. We shall overcome.

Taking a short break is a luxury for me

Have you noticed the mannerisms of a writer? Writers often evaluate, dissect and integrate everything into statements, phrases, poetry, or words of understanding. Sometimes in their actions, you see their thoughtful reverie, their timeliness, and that sparkle in the eye.

If you have embarked on a passion as soul-searching as mine, that is of a poet and a writer, then you will understand the intricacies of being a writer. There is no end to summarizing every little thing that happens to you.

Then as you immerse yourself deep into writing, you tend to forget time, and your surroundings sometimes and transcend into another place where only you and your thoughts can share that special place.

As those thoughts are shared with your readers, then it no longer becomes your primal property, it becomes an intellectual property-sharing endeavor. It brings you a sense of achievement. Sometimes, it brings you money, and other times, a worthy tribute.

And, a writer is often exhausted by their relentless seeking of knowledge and materials to use in their work.

Hence, after publishing three new books within a space of 3 months, this poet and writer needed to recuperate and go on a short break. However, no matter how hard I tried to run away from it all, the writer in me wasn't able to find a place of solace to hide away and keep that prompting of writing something new on hold.

And so, I wrote as I saw, indulged in beauty and awe, and came back home, nostalgic that my time away was a short one.

A Quote for You.

My New Book

An Author of the Past
Published on Kindle/ Free on KU.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBN6R9GT

Betty would rise to be a great master and a distinguished wordsmith, and I, acclaimed as her benefactor, will forever be remembered as an offspring of a revolutionary era.

I heard it said that literary greats were molded by the mystics of a past life. The old spirits reigned in their mortal form. But then, who am I to say it like that, as the likeness in their words often reflected the written scriptures? Unless the doubters concede the works of my beloved Betty, they will forever remain ignorant of the power of literature in their lives.

The different settings and scenes in this book foster a remarkable rendition of the fabled and yet factual Age of the Renaissance between the 14th and 17th centuries. In the throes of the era, a prodigious granddaughter of an Author of the Past rises to claim her place in the literary arena.

Shobana's Note:

This book will take the reader into an era where the intrigue for fables and art, literature, and poets lived to tell tales that created master crafters and wordsmiths.

Read it on Kindle.

Leave me your name

The last few days have been quite bizarre for me. I don't know what it was except that my immune system was down. I felt ill; to top it off, the hot weather made it impossible to stay indoors without the air-conditioner running.

Anyway, the electricity tariffs have increased while our currency has fallen alarmingly.

There were hundreds who visited my blogs when I was away. A hike in the Singaporean readership was great news to me. A warm welcome to all of you.

Leave me your name, and a comment so I can thank you or say something to you as a conversation. That would be great.

It's July and the second half of the year has begun. Riots in France made the headlines everywhere. A seventeen-year-old was killed. Everywhere else, the wars go on to new heights, and there is no end to the chaos, so I thought it appropriate to write about the elusive peace at this time of sad occurrences.

I think people everywhere have been thrust into a corner with no room or place to move. Where is liberation in a world that belongs to chaotic minds? There is much sadness, that even the joyful are afraid to show their jubilation for fear of retribution or raised eyebrows. What is there to be happy about? No one shares sadness with you, however, when you are filled with happiness, they tend to flock around you.

Why? Why the consequence?

Because people are easily influenced by wrongdoings. They follow the wrong herd. Where justice is denied there will never be peace. Not in minds nor hearts, and soon that feeling of discord will rear violence and overflow outside to mar the beauty of the world.

What would happen if all the places of beauty are gone? Disappeared? We wouldn't have a place to run and hide.
