This Season of Advent - A Poem for Peace, May Goodness & Peace reign in all hearts.

From the Lips of a Child of War.

I thirst,
Deserted by war,
I long for peace.

Where is that promise,
to lay down arms,
And to build instead,
A world of calm.

A prayer is whispered,
For the child in me,
has now learned to fear
the future.
Not from the roars of the thunder,
Nor the storms of the seas,
But from within the hearts of cruelty,
I remain,
Steadfast with my longing for peace.
