Taking a short break is a luxury for me

Have you noticed the mannerisms of a writer? Writers often evaluate, dissect and integrate everything into statements, phrases, poetry, or words of understanding. Sometimes in their actions, you see their thoughtful reverie, their timeliness, and that sparkle in the eye.

If you have embarked on a passion as soul-searching as mine, that is of a poet and a writer, then you will understand the intricacies of being a writer. There is no end to summarizing every little thing that happens to you.

Then as you immerse yourself deep into writing, you tend to forget time, and your surroundings sometimes and transcend into another place where only you and your thoughts can share that special place.

As those thoughts are shared with your readers, then it no longer becomes your primal property, it becomes an intellectual property-sharing endeavor. It brings you a sense of achievement. Sometimes, it brings you money, and other times, a worthy tribute.

And, a writer is often exhausted by their relentless seeking of knowledge and materials to use in their work.

Hence, after publishing three new books within a space of 3 months, this poet and writer needed to recuperate and go on a short break. However, no matter how hard I tried to run away from it all, the writer in me wasn't able to find a place of solace to hide away and keep that prompting of writing something new on hold.

And so, I wrote as I saw, indulged in beauty and awe, and came back home, nostalgic that my time away was a short one.

A Quote for You.

My New Book

An Author of the Past
Published on Kindle/ Free on KU.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBN6R9GT

Betty would rise to be a great master and a distinguished wordsmith, and I, acclaimed as her benefactor, will forever be remembered as an offspring of a revolutionary era.

I heard it said that literary greats were molded by the mystics of a past life. The old spirits reigned in their mortal form. But then, who am I to say it like that, as the likeness in their words often reflected the written scriptures? Unless the doubters concede the works of my beloved Betty, they will forever remain ignorant of the power of literature in their lives.

The different settings and scenes in this book foster a remarkable rendition of the fabled and yet factual Age of the Renaissance between the 14th and 17th centuries. In the throes of the era, a prodigious granddaughter of an Author of the Past rises to claim her place in the literary arena.

Shobana's Note:

This book will take the reader into an era where the intrigue for fables and art, literature, and poets lived to tell tales that created master crafters and wordsmiths.

Read it on Kindle.
