Happy Wesak Day

Happy Wesak Day to all who are celebrating the Buddhist festival throughout the world.

When I was a young girl, I used to watch the procession pass our house at night. The Lord Buddha's golden statue was truly a regal figure as it was followed by the vast crowd of chanting devotees. Lotus flowers and flowers of every kind decorated the lit carriage. What a beautiful sight it was.  Years ago, I visited the temple of the Sleeping Buddha in Hat Yai with my two children. A calming and peaceful experience. Buddhism is a way of life. A religion that spreads goodwill and harmony.
