On SHOBANA today: Exploring Emotions - The Flames of Anger (A poem recited on YouTube)
I have written so much about love in my books. As I read the words that takes shape when I write them down, it leads to new awareness each time. Love is in many ways splendorous. An emotion that has led humanity in all their actions.
I realize that the world is driven by the love for violence at this time and age. It is one of those emotions that cannot be justified. Where is the justice in loving violence and inflicting hurt and misery to anyone for that matter. Every act of discord or opposition is magnified to create suspicion against another which inflames anger. I feel sorry for the real leaders of this world. It is tremendously difficult to douse the flames of anger and difficult to explain to peace-loving citizens why there is so much strife and friction in their nations, and incompatibility in those who bring about disharmony.
It all boils down to money. Money changes hands even to bring unrest in a nation. It is a sad fact. People don't think twice to kill, or burn, or even about the welfare of their children. They only think of their ill-conceived present circumstances. Don't they realize they have set fire to a great future for children everywhere?
I told a seven-year old when I was feeding him one day, how the poor children scramble for food. Their parents brought them up in the streets and they don't have a choice but to scavenge for crumbs for a meal. Some steal and turn to bad influences to survive and become criminals in the end. I reminded him how lucky we were to have food on our table, and he said in all his innocence how someday, he'd give them some money. I said yes, it's all about the money - the lack of money makes people poor. Why don't they get jobs? Well, they are not given jobs because they are not skilled or trusted for their appearances and lack of education.
Well, we went to church together that weekend, and I went to Our Lady's grotto to pray. I pray a lot for the safety of my family - especially for my children who are innocent, goodhearted, and kind. The good is vulnerable in the hands of the wicked. The world has changed for the worse I believe.
Anyway, I was surprised to see him kneeling next to me to pray. His mother asked him what he prayed for, and he said - I prayed for a shiny new dumpling - a toy he loved. I smiled. Children!!
He is so innocent, and we got him what he wanted so he'd believe that his prayers came true, hahaha.
Have a great weekend. and let's hope for peace everywhere.
